The octagonal shape holds up to several hundred kilograms of product while maintaining a stable form and efficient use of pallet space.
An octabin is a large-format corrugated board container in an octagonal shape, mounted directly on a pallet and used for transporting and storing bulk products, granulates, powders, resins, or chemical raw materials. With its large capacity and high load-bearing strength, it offers a cost-effective, fully recyclable alternative to plastic containers, drums, or big bags.
The octagonal wall structure provides significantly greater shape stability than traditional cylindrical containers – the walls do not deform under the weight of the product, allowing safe stacking and transport without additional external reinforcement. The octabin is mounted on a wooden or cardboard pallet, and depending on the product, can be filled directly or fitted with an inner liner bag to protect moisture-sensitive, fine-grained, or purity-critical goods. A top lid can also be added to close the container.
Each octabin is designed to individual customer specifications – height, diameter, board grade, and load capacity – based on the bulk density of the product and the target load weight. Octabins can be produced with printed logistics or informational markings, and with a discharge outlet for easy emptying.
