FEFCO is the European Federation of Cardboard Packaging Producers.

It is an association established in 1952 and representing the interests of all European producers of cardboard packaging.

                                                                                                     

 

The codes were developed by FEFCO and ESBO as the official system to replace long and complicated descriptions of cardboard packaging structures with simple symbols, recognizable all over the world, regardless of language.

FEFCO codes are divided into seven groups:

FEFCO Group 01: Bales and commercial sheets

FEFCO Group 02: Boxes with dividers

FEFCO Group 03: Telescopic boxes

FEFCO Group 04: Folding boxes and drawers

FEFCO Group 05: Sliding boxes

FEFCO Group 06: Stiffened boxes

FEFCO Group 07: Factory glued boxes

FEFCO Group 09: Internal linings
